this is also a track with two songs in it. selkärangattomat selkääntaputtelijat is a song about the dude scene, white heterosexual guys always ready to back each other up, the male gaze that still defines a lot of things. the social hierarchies inside which we see the same old patriarchy working, maybe in a bit different form, maybe a bit smaller and sadder than before, but it will exist as long as we let it exist in our scene and in our minds. we need self-criticism, we need education, we need solidarity, we need to call each others on our shit as it means we wish to see people as the best version they could become, as that is LOVE instead of just accepting all the shit as it is.

the quote is from bell hooks and you should read bell hooks and try and understand how the interlocking systems of domination work and make others understand it as well.

suoraa toimintaa is for direct action as a tactic of joyous rebellion. read joyful militancy as well and remember that not all of us must be ninjas and we need a multitude of tactics and strategies in order to grow and develop our movement.
